Beetle

We had people from the States come visit to do some work and so we took them to our favorite place for our meeting time last Sunday. I found TWO beetles and enjoyed trying to scare people with them!! I had more fun with it than they did.

I got very, very dirty and Mommy and Papa didn't care. They just let me be a boy! They said I was still very handsome and kiss-able!!
We saw these two chumps hanging out by the side of the road. You can see them jump from tree to tree and come down to feed from your hands!! Come and visit us and we will take you there!

Tea Time

I went to our guardian's (doorman's) house on Sunday morning for tea and couscous. This was my second time to visit them. Mommy helped their mom cook lunch and Papa hung out with me and their Papa. We jumped on the bed...
played outside while all of their neighbors stared at me....
We shared a bag of chips...

and we drank tea and ate lots of cookies!!! Mmmmm good!

A Stream in the Desert

We were invited yesterday to go have our "meeting" in the mountains with other friends here. It was a nice break from the congested, polluted city!

The stream in the background was ice cold and the sheep and cows were an added bonus. In our meeting we talked about the walls of Jericho falling down after they marched around the city for 7 days. We did a little re-enactment and caught a very small glimpse into what it might have been like. The doubts, the struggles of what people might think of you as you march around an area tooting a horn, the fear, the hope at the end, etc.

I was surrounded by 9 little girls and only two other boys. They giggled at me when I did my version of "As the Deer Pants For Water". They played with me and mothered me as we enjoyed the beauty of God's creation.

Splish-splash

We were invited by our friend that lives upstairs to go to the pool with him at a local hotel. You pay about $10 a person to swim in their pool. His brother was going back to France the next day and wanted us to spend some time with them. It was a great blessing! The temperature that day was not as hot as other days but it was still about 100 F.
Who said I wasn't a little angel? The kiddy pool was perfect. I could walk around all by myself and it only went up to my chest. Mommy saved a kid that was under water for who knows how long. It must not have been too long because the dad just kindly got her attention and pointed to him who was face down and floating in the water!! He was okay. No mouth-to-mouth needed.
Here I am with Amine looking cool.
This is my "Give it to me" look.

I am a happy guy at the pool blinding everyone with my pearly, white skin.

Random Times

Mama walked in on me looking at my book and snapped a picture of me. She is sneaky! I am still riding my truck quite often. Some would almost believe that it is "attatched at the hip".
This is my Big Truck Book that I got from my Mamaw. Papa and I look at it and marvel at the vibrant colors and BIG trucks. It is a fabulous book!
This is Reda and Dreese. They play outside with me everyday! They are like two big brothers that I get the priveledge of borrowing while I am here. We play wonderfully together and they are great fun.
Here we are clowning around after enjoying a drumstick! Mama said I will have trouble getting a date looking like this but hey look at her! Well, Papa would take Mama any day of the week because he loves her.
Here was just another glimpse ino my world!

Chocolate Cake

A few days ago Mama made a birthday cake for one of our neighbors. If anyone has a hankering to send any cake mixes to Morocco please do because they are yummy. Mama likes to make them for the nationals because they don't really celebrate people's birthdays here so when we make a big deal out of it they really receive a blessing! Cake mixes are easy and delicious!
It's fingerlickin' good!!
Here we are about to blow out the candles. It was my favorite part. We celebrated three birthdays in a week and so now I go around singing parts of "Happy Birthday". This is Amine ( in the blue shirt-it was his birthday-he turned 18!!) and his brother Ali. Ali lives in France and was in town visiting. We had a great time. Later, their dad showed up and we got to meet him for the first time. His name is Mohammed. We sat and talked while they all watch me play. They are a very nice family and we look forward to visiting again!!

Burrito Man

I am Burrrrrriiiiiiiittoo Man! I stole that from "Nacho Libre". He is my hero! I just wanted to share some fun times that we do before bedtime.
Here I am with my very frustrated face because I couldn't get out!! Help me, Mama!!

Independence Day

God Bless America! We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July! What a time to remember all that was done for us in order for us to have the freedom we have in our country!
We went to a friend's house and had a good ol' American Southern pot-luck! We had hamburgers, green beans, deviled eggs, hashbrown casserole, baked beans, home-made ice cream (for you Calhouns), cookies, and brownies! Let me tell you it was mmmmmm....gooooood!

The most recent family picture! Hey, look at me, I'm actually looking at the camera and smiling!
This is the pinata that most of us took a swing at except me! I wasn't sure what it was. I was content watching from the sidelines. I did scramble for some of the candy when I saw it falling from the sky. My favorites were the Nestle crunch bars.
Our seed spitting contest....
What is the 4th without watermelon? I had sweet kisses after that one!
The big kids took turns with us little kids jumping on the trampoline. I had a blast with my friends. I loved tumbling and running on it! I want one of my own! Papa played volleyball while Mama watched me jump. He was on the winning team! Yeah!
Here I am being cute trying to balance a frisbee on my head. At the end of the night we watched the World Cup. Italy won! I laid on the trampoline with Mama and looked at the stars and the luna (moon). It was one of the best days yet! I went to bed exhausted.
