Tony Hawk, Eat your Heart Out!

Rida and I are playing with his new skateboard. He was kind enough to help me and show me some moves!

Chef Levi

We went to a friend's house this weekend to get away and fellowship! I was busying meeting the demands of the phone-in-orders for pizza.

I am so happy to be working hard and piddling in their kitchen. It was just like Jojo's. I kept telling mom, "I'm cookin' it up!" and "it's not ready."

I am rolling out the pizza dough. I need to practice tossing it up in the air!

The BIG 3-0!

I had a wonderful birthday thanks to my loving, thoughtful husband, my friends and family in America and my new friends here! The Lord is gracious and loving!
The man of the house had a surprise birthday party for me last night and it was a SURPRISE! My camera didn't work all day until Amine picked it up and turned it on. So, he was able to capture some of the time together! PTL!

My fun sign that I woke up to that Tim made! A glimpse of his thoughtfulness!

I had to get a picture of me at 30 so I can look at it 30 years from now at my 60th birthday celebration slideshow and see how much that I have changed. That is always encouraging, right?

I don't think that I will get my birthday wish because Levi blew out most of the candles. Oh, well....my dreams have already come true. I have a handsome, tender, Godly husband, and smart, healthy, playful son, and kind, honest, and loving friends and family. I also serve a BIG God whose love is everlasting!

My gift from Quamar. It is so silky and warm!

My gift from my friend that is a chef! How did he know that I love red and yellow? I guess that little birdie got out again.

A look at the crowd!

This sweet baby girl is someone very special to Levi. He says he wants a baby sister now because of her. She is the baby sister of the twin boys here. Aren't they both blessed!

Me and Quamar. This is our first picture taken together, too late, I know!

You know these clowns!

This is Amine's friend Amine. Levi calls him big Amine to distinguish between them. He goes to school with Amine.

Here is our family picture before going to bed. It was a wonderful day. Thank you to ALL of you that sent me cards, e-cards, and called me. It was very special and I was very touched by all of the love and blessings that surrounded me. I have so many things that I am thankful for. I am truely blessed!!!!!

Ide Sagir

We spent 14 hours with Amine's family yesterday. Enjoying the beautiful weather and wonderful company! We met a majority of the family and we are so grateful for it. They were all so warm and welcoming. One of the best experiences that we have had with a family!

Here we are on in the backyard. What view. Do you like my new jalaba?
Papa, Amine and me enjoying some time in the salon visiting with everybody.
Mommy brought some pictures to show of family and friend's to Quamar's family. This is her sister on the left. The mother of the twins. The other one is her niece.
Here are the twins. Salem was circumcised yesterday. Ouch! His mom had it done now because she is off of work for the Ide holiday. Great idea!

Cool Dudes

Here I am with Mohammed, Amine's Dad! We were clowning around before lunch. We have a lot of fun together. He is so good to me, giving me attention, chasing me, letting me scare him, etc.

Ide Playtime

Here are some of the kids I played with at Quamar's mom's house. This picture and the one below contains a picture of brother and sister. They are twins! I didn't want to smile in this picture. Can you tell?

Salem made it outside. This is the traditional attire for young boys who get circumcised in order for everyone to know. People give money and gifts to the boys and the family sings songs of blessings over them. It is a big occasion!
His grandmother sewed the trim around the edges of the sleeves and around the collar to add a sentimental touch.
You can only imagine how this fulfilled my dare-devilish side. I had a blast going "super-fast" like Dash in the Incredibles!

Here are some more of the cousins. On the celebration of this day the kids wear their best clothes. The henna was done earlier during Ramadan, probably done on the Night of Power which was a few nights ago. Aren't they so adorable?

Trip to the Oven

After we put the Bastilla together we drove to the public oven in order to bake it. We took a few shots while we waited.

This is mine new way that I take pictures to avoid the obnoxious flash. I am such a ham-bone,too!

One of a few public ovens. You can bring your meat, bread, and patries here to be cooked if you are cooking for a lot of people! Amazing, isn't it?

$4 Piano

Here is my new toy. It has its own microphone so I can sing along. You should have seen me when I first opened it. I make sure when I am finished I put it back in the box. I think I am a "J" on the Myers-Briggs!

Driving Buddies

We went to a carnival today! Here I am driving my Scooby-Doo-Look-A-Like Van with my buddies!

But, nobody was there to make the cars go. I guess since Ramadan is almost over the carnival is packing up and heading to another place far away to give joy to other little people in the world. Nobody told us to get off so we milked the rides for all that they were worth!

Here I am trying to convince Josiah that I am the driver and he isn't! A man has to do what a man has to do, right?

Rainbow

We saw the coolest thing the other day...a full rainbow that stretched from one end of the sky to another. It was gorgeous! Here of are pictures of us on our roof. It was such a reminder of God's promise to Noah. It was also a time to reflect on the promises given to us as His children- that nothing will ever separate us from His love that is in Christ Jesus!

Festiveness

Here is my only sign of Halloween. I have a t-shirt from last year that my Mamaw bought for me at Walgreens! It didn't fit me then, but since my growth spurt it seems to be a perfect fit. I wear it anytime it is clean because it is the only month I will be able to wear it! So, Happy October Fest! Be safe and eat some Reese's peanut butter cups for us and some Nerds! Send pictures of your kids in costumes!

Sunday Fun

We got to play at our friend's house today after worshipping together! They have a playhouse that was perfect for me and Johnathan and Lydia to play in. Thay also have a big slide, a swing, and a beautiful carpet of green grass! All things hard to come by here. So, we are grateful for so many things!

I am a big boy!

Visa Trip II

The weather in Spain was so cool that I had to wear a jacket when I went out.
Papa and me heading to the park to play on the playground. I have the best Papa in the whole world! He is always willing to play with me and take me places. He spends a lot of quality time with me.
Giddy-up!
We built a tower one morning with my friend's toys. It was bigger than me!
Here is a new friend we met that is a long-time friend of my Uncle Josh and Uncle Brett. She is very lovable!
Eventhough I am too big for this I still enjoyed cruising around the apartment in it. It belongs to Ky's babysister. They were out of town when we stayed at their house.
