Mom's 31st

Mommy had a very fun day for her birthday yesterday. She wants to thank all of you who sent physical cards and e-cards and gifts. It was all very special and Mommy said she felt very loved and very blessed by her friends and family. We went and had sushi - Mommy's favorite! It was my first time. I didn't like the sushi rolls but I did like the Miso soup.

Mommy read a card from Mam-maw, Pop and Maw-maw and aunt Kimberly why we enjoyed some tea.
Then we went to Mallorca! It is a very cool pastry shop that our French friends introduced us to. We bought these little pastries instead of having a cake.

Across the street we saw a Juan Valdez Cafe and decided to have some Columbian coffee and cream puffs while I took a nap in the stroller. Mom is sporting her super cool necklace and earrings from Mamaw!

We walked to Retiro to enjoy the great outdoors.
The glass palace had a really neat art exhibit of wood-very random but very interesting.

I saw these very beautiful black geese with red bills. We have never seen any like this before.
Family shot that I wasn't in the mood to join in on so Papa and Mama took advantage of it together.
Then, I changed my mind and decided to participate in the photo shoot.
I was so proud of my candy that Aunt Kimberly included in Mommy's card that I had to display it.
Mommy, shocked that Daddy found a curling iron that gets really hot and is the right size.
A heating pad!!! When you are pregnant you appreciate things like this when your back is sore. Way to go Papa!
Nana and Grandpa Bill sent Mommy a package with fun earrings and new shirts and a very sweet card. Papa bought a flag and let me open it.

To cap the night off, we made tea, sang Happy Birthday, and ate our delicious pastries. We didn't go to bed until really late because we were having so much fun.

Boots

I found Papa's boots and had fun trying to walk in them.
They were very awkward.
But I managed to stand several times with them...

and fall.

This was my moment of pride!

Then I challenged myself to ride my bike with them on and found it to be very funny and even more awkward!

K & L

So, our new friends arrived almost two weeks ago and I instantly fell in love with them. They are very cool, fun-loving, and creatively playful! What more could a kid my age ask for? They spoil me and make me feel so special all of the time.

Compassionate Heart

On Sunday in church we took the Lord's supper and Levi got very upset as we talked to him about the significance of it all because he wanted to participate. He was very sad during the passing of the bread and the wine. When ask what was wrong he said, "I don't like that that man has blood. I don't that he bleed."
We continued telling him the importance of it and why he bled. Levi was so sad about it. Pray that he would one day realize the true importance of why Christ had to die-to be the atonement for our sins- and that he would repent and receive Jesus's atonement for his own personal sins.

Zoo with Marcos

Marcos and I went to the zoo with our parents and another family form our church. We saw so many beautiful animals. We spoke in Spanish the whole time!

The penguins
Us saying how many tigers we see: "Hay uno!" (there is one)
Fun shot with Marcos, Sarah, and Lucas

Last time we came to the zoo the dolphin pool was being painted so this was my first time seeing the dolphins.
Marcos and his daddy and me.
They have a part that allows you to see the dolphins swimming in the pool. We went down there after the show.

Then there was a bird show where these really big birds came out and flew right over us! The eagles landed on people's heads.! It is very funny.
This one was catching food in the air.

Papa read me a story that night. Are we so cute together? I love my Papa.

Horse Lessons

I went Saturday, thinking I was going to be able to ride horses but they don't have classes in the evenings on Saturdays or Sundays. So, Mom got the information and we are going to try for Saturdays at 10:00am fro 1 hour. I am so excited! I had fun watching Corinne ride.
Mommy was shocked to get this pictures since I usually make such a silly face.
See the look of awe and amazement in my eyes?

Big helper!
