none

So these pictures are a few weeks old but had to post them. I still like wearing this cap Mammaw gave me for Christmas in 2006. The eye patch is from when David scratched me in the eye and being the drama boy that I am, I opted to wear the eye patch for an hour. I was fine. I kind of thought it was cool.
This one was a such a sweet picture of David...what a sweetie.

Bye to Abi

We just wanted everyone to know that we came home on Monday after being gone and found Abi dead. Yes, you read it right. The kind of dead where they are not breathing any more dead. Levi handled it very well...better than we thought. I think it helps that we only had her for 3 days instead of 3 years. We don't really know what happened. We went back to the pet store and they gave us a voucher for another one. We are going to wait until next week to pick out another sweet one.

These are the last pictures we had with her.

David really was asleep!

Carmen

This is Carmen. We went to her house after our time helping Caty and Mike with the teaching yesterday. She was very tame and gentle. Caty told us about a cute little bunny at the pet store that is so sweet and perfect for a pet. So we went to she her!

My Early Birthday Present

Well, we found an animal that is perfect for us! A dwarf bunny! She won't grow to be very big and she is soooooooooo sweet and docile. I named her Abi (pronounced Abby) after my good friend Abby that I hung out with in Rome. The girl that we are doing the VBS with convinced us of this one. She reminds us a lot of Jojo's cat when she was little.
David has a great smile but I am doing one of my goofy faces like usual.
She fits nicely.
Me playing with her this morning.

Summer Fun

We helped another worker do an educational/VBS time the other day in her neighborhood. She is doing it everyday this month because there are so many latch-key kids in her neighborhood with nothing to do in the summer. She is amazing! Anyway all of these kids behind Levi are from N.A. They thought it was so cool that we could speak their language with them. We are planning on going about 5 or 6 more times to help out.

I am trying to sit up.
Life is good...ice cream!!

My new type of smile. I close my mouth and my cheeks puff up. It is my new way of showing off and making people laugh!

reunited

We found Zahora's restaurant where she has been working recently. She doesn't like her boss and work is slow and boring. We are praying that she gets a new job.

Rome

David's first flight was to Rome for our annual cluster meeting where we talked about what is going on in the region, our kids got great care and love while they did VBS , we connected and encouraged one another and heard from the higher-ups about what is new and plans for this upcoming year.
We had to leave at 4:30 to catch our flight and so we got there early enough in the day to swim at a pool next to where we were staying.
Our friends Elizabeth and Abigail that live about 4 hours away. They live close to Cayleb and Caylee. I told Mom that I want her to have a girl so we can name her Abby.
David loved the pool, too.
Mommy with her nose pierced and enjoying Papa.
We went out to dinner with some friends with the company that live in the northern part of our country. They have four kids (our heroes) and we babysat Elizbeth and Abby while their parents went on a date. It was so good for Levi.
The Vatican. The middle balcony is normally where you see him waving when you see him on TV.

St. Peter's cathedral.

Luigi from Cars!
Statue of Caesar in front of the Forum.

We ate a light lunch inside because they charge about 2 Euros more to eat outside!

One of the many bridges connecting to the city.

Open market

One of the many springs of very cold, refreshing water that are in the city. This was one of the most fantastic features of the city. It was soooooo hot there.
