Christmas morning

Yay! Santa came!
David loved my bug box because he could put stuff in and take it out again.
my "flame job" cars from the Weems!
David thought you were supposed to eat the gift not unwrap it! Silly guy.
His snow globe that he managed to break after 2 minutes. We were grateful he didn't get cut.
Little cars from the Weems! Thank you!
matching P.Js are always fun.
Mommy's calendar
Eric Carle little books for David
Papa got clothes
practicing my letters
Mommy's present form Daddy. He got it in Morocco. She is going to put it in her guest room. Mommy was so thrilled and so surprised.
Christmas Day

We shared our Christmas with our friends Caty and Michael and Carol her mom. We had a great meal, yummy desserts, played Settlers and opened gifts. I got a frog for our tank and Mom and Dad got a beautiful ornament from Greece and flower pots. David got a singing turtle that moves around. He loves it! Sadly, though, we didn't take enough pictures!

Christmas Eve
Christmas Eve we went to our Brazilian friends house ( we met them in our Spanish church).
left to right:Edilene (she is my sweet friend who visited me in the hospital when David was born), David, her son Joao (Jo-ow), Me and mommy. Papa is behind the camera!

David's Santa suit that was cousin Travis'
Us playing in Joao's room...looks like he does the ironing in the family!
Two Brazilian acquaintances studying in England that didn't have a place to celebrate Christmas.
My gift from Joao!

David loved the stairs; we could not keep him off of them.
We had a wonderful meal and fellowship and didn't end up leaving until almost midnight!

Cortylandia
We met up with Antonio before meeting up with our teammates and their family to see Cortylandia. Antonio brought me this dinosaur and a sucker.
David got a little lion and a sucker, too.
Cortylandia consisted of fairies, elves and dragons this year. Our first year here was still the best. They did a zoo scene and it was amazing. Last year it was a Victorian scene with people and horse drawn carriages. Never the less we enjoyed our time out in the city!

Sara
Sara - Faoozia's daughter came over for an English lesson yesterday and we were able to share our yummy candy canes with her. We explained the significance of them and she said that her teacher from England had given them to her before but that she had never told her the story behind the candy cane. So, that was a blessing for us to be able to share it with her. Thanks again Weems for sending them!

Speaking Spanish
We had Antonio (our new friend in Him) over for dinner the other night and I showed him my sticker book of reptiles.
Christmas Cookies and Lights
Mommy made some cookies earlier in the week to give away to the people in our neighborhood. So, we waited until Saturday morning to decorate and distribute them.
It was more fun eating them!
The stars to represent the one one showing where the baby Jesus was, hearts to remind us of God's love that he demonstrates through His son, angels for the ones that appeared to the shephards, and bells that we ring for the celebration of His birth.

We decorated our tree a few weeks ago and have really been enjoying all of the ornaments that we got from Nana and Mamaw. Thank you for helping make our Christmas special!

Enjoying our friends
We invited two of the kids in my class out for a fun time in the park. We wanted to ride the big bug carrousel but it was an hour wait.
Raquel and Edgar - the parents of Ezekial
Me, Ezekial, and Anthony enjoying Candy Canes from the Weems!
Antonio - our believing friend we always talk about

The beautiful tree of lights near our house. We all went for ice cream after our walk in the park.
