David is 1

Look who is 1!!!!!!!!

David has a look like, "Hey that is my number one!"
David's "cake" was a homemade cinnamon roll. He loved it and it served its purpose well. He got to dig in and eat the whole thing.

Ohhhhhhhhhhh, yeah, chk..chka, chkaaaaaaa (from Ferris Beuller's Day Off)

"Is that it, Mom?"

Birthday video

I know this is a bad video but we only had one shot at it. It is the celebration at our church of all of the birthdays in January which included David and Antonio! We wanted you to see the love we receive from our ch family! It was such a blessing!

Cesar and David

Cesar (Thes -ar) and Elisa came over on Friday for language exchange and kid play date. We always have a great time watching the boys and getting to know each other.

Snow Video

So this is the first big snow for at least 40 years. We are walking to a local cafe. Levi is not with us .because he was in school...but we played in the snow after I picked him up. He loved it.

Snow pics

Here are some shots we took on our way to a local cafe near our house. Gerald and Boni are two gentlemen that work there that have a special relationship with us. They are some of the men we gave Christmas cookies to.

looking up the street next to our house.
Gerald told me that our boys are so nice and that he enjoys seeing them. He said most parents don't let their kids go to other people and they are very protective. He said he was grateful for how we let him enjoy the kids.

Anniversary

So we have our own little tradition here. Every winter we go to this cotton candy stand. It is very close to the hotel/apartment where we stayed when we first arrived to this country (after being in NA). It was our first winter/Christmas here without knowing anyone or having a place to call home. So, by going to this little stand we remember the beginning of our journey here and take time to reflect on all that G had done in our lives since then. Last year Katie was with us. This year Antonio went.
Katie, my arm is around you! Wish you were here! Thanks for going with us last year!

I love the look on Levi's face.

We have been here 2 years but this is the 3rd time going. Cotton Candy is such an interesting thing!!

San Silvestre Run

The street near Atocha at the San Silvestre New Year's Eve run! It is a 10K that goes throughout the city. It was our first time participating in the event.
us waiting for Papa. David looks like a little Russian.
We saw Papa with his big red hair!

other people who dressed up in the race. It was very fun seeing all of the different costumes!
The Morman runners!
People at the very back of the race.

While we were waiting for Papa to meet up with us after it was over we goofed off in the street.
Mommy wore this hat so Papa could find us.
We finished New Year's off with the 12 grapes and we also wore our red underwear which are both supposed to be good luck! Not that we believe in luck but we thought we would participate in the traditions!
This open mouth photo is for you Abigail! Hehehehe.
