The Market

This is a glimpse of our market. This stand has the most beautiful fruits and vegetables. I don't shop here because they are too expensive! :( This made for a good picture. Saturdays are the most crowded -the best time to shop and mingle with the locals and vendors.

These are some of our favorite people in the market. This Easter we gave out 9 carrot breads with a note of thanks for the people in our community we have consist relationship with -the couple and the pet store, the guys at the cafe, and the people in the market - for being such gifts in our lives and how we also see Chrst as a gift because of what he did for us on the cross. We celebrate his resurrection!!!
Above is Charo and Veronica. There dad Enrique is not pictured here. They sell potatoes, onions, lemons, garlic and dried beans. They have been doing it for 20 years! I get to help shuck the onions and clean the potatoes sometimes.
Above is Antonio and Trinidad. We buy our meat from them. He loves football (soccer) and they are from the southern part of the country. They never could have children but enjoy their 20 nieces and nephews! Trinidad is who mommy loves talking with and who really helps her with language and cultural things.
Charo works next to Antonio and Trinidad and she sells the cutest, most adorable children's clothes. She has had some good talks with mommy.
Christobal and Sonya work across from Charo and they sell frozen foods. They have been doing it for about 20 years. They have two teenage children - a boy and a girl. We enjoy going behind the counter because it is so cold back there!
Here is another picture of a vendor that sells the cured pig legs, cheeses, smoked salmon, chorizo, and different cured sausages.

Pushing David

I suggested to Levi that he push David around in the storage box - it was a hit! He did it for about 30 minutes. David enjoyed it and even today was getting in the box and asking for "more" with his sign language.

Bath

We bought the boys some new suits for the indoor pool near our house - the water is soooo cold all of the time so we thought these fuller bodied suits would be better. We also invested in some new hats for the blazing sun here. Pop, you should be proud!

Most recent up close shots to see how much they are changing. David is still smiley all of the time.

Feeding Bella our rabbit

When I am cooking I give David this duty to keep him busy. He is very helpful!

First front flip

This is Levi doing a front flip!! His friend Amanda (Jacob's sister )taught him. I was amazed! He is so fearless sometimes. I think he looks so cute with his goggles!

The Wheelbarrow

We spent one Saturday at my good Spanish friend's house who has 6 kids -she is married to an American and they have an amazing family. Levi's best friend Jacob is their 6th child. Anyway, the oldest celebrated his birthday and we were invited to the celebration. Levi had a blast swimming in their pool and playing with all of their toys. David also found some fun things to tinker with.
