MD & NM

Now that we have finally slowed down for a couple of days mom can BLOG! Yay! Blogging makes her happy. Instead of sewing quilts...her other relaxing 'me' time....she blogs. Although she is closer to getting started on Trinity's quilt than she was 2 months ago she is still not completely ready for such a project with 3 little ones and a busy schedule.
Anyway.....our trip to Maryland and New Mexico was so great. We connected more and got to have some unique experiences - giving a calf a bottle, going to a carnival, eating Maryland crabs, finding a dead baby bird in the swimming pool, jumping on the trampoline under a full moon, catching fireflies, and sleeping in a sweet RV! Thanks to Uncle Talmadge, Aunt Sheron, and Grandad. We enjoyed it!

Grandad was so generous and bought a half a bushel of crabs!! It was hard for mom and dad to get all they wanted because of us little ones demanding their attention and the fact it took soooo much time cracking them open! What an experience!

good times!

David's favorite thing to do is talk on the real phone to real people

I am going to make this in Spain for my friends!!
Sunday night dinner with the church! Great Aunt Joan there up front with Tim's Dad. It was a great time to talk with the Body about what is going on in Spain. We were so encouraged when we left.

Bob, Lori's husband with his daughter Bethany What a testimony this family was to us! Thank you Bob and Lori!

We stopped at our favorite place before getting on our plane to Virginia. No pictures were taken in Virgina at ILC for some strange reason.
Then off to New Mexico July 3-7th. We saw our great-grandma Jane celebrated her 90th birthday. We saw fireworks at a beautiful site where other extended family live. Special times!! I met my cousin's wife for the first time after 18 years of marriage! It was great being at Uncle Dona nd Aunt Pam's. They have an RV too and we lots of food!!

Us passed out in the car before the fireworks. Mom and dad ate and then woke us up before the show.
He won the "most patriotic award"
Great sunset. It was such a neat time to just stop and think about the 200+ years that have passed since our independence. A lot has been sacrificed - lives, time, money, energy, grief for us to have our independence and it was an honor to sit and thank God for putting us here on earth at this particular point in time. We are so thankful and proud to be Americans.
