First day of school

Look at my tooth! This is what it looked like the night before I pulled it out. I pulled it Sunday morning before church because I didn't want anyone to see it hanging there all funky.
This is my teacher Mrs. Devine on the first day of school and me with my missing tooth! I am so thrilled to go to school in America. The school is only 3 blocks from our house and so we get to walk there.

Trinity is 11 months

Our baby girl is almost 1 and we can't believe it! Our family has enjoyed seeing her hit big milestones and we have been thankful for the food here during the finger food stage. She is so much fun and really enjoys her brothers. She looks up to Levi where as with David there is more competition.
Some fun times before bed "hiding". She knows what that means and if you ask her, "Want to hide?" She grunts and tries to pull the sheet up over her head.
David loves his Superman shirt I got at Goodwill.

She still is not walking yet. Crawling on carpet has been suffice for her.

Levi is 6!

From Mom: So, this year being in the cupcake country of the world...well, as far as I know it is....I decide to do cupcakes for Levi's 6th BD. I found this book at Loew's and just loved how it had simple ingredients to make the decorations even down to using a Zip-lock for the frosting distributor.

This is the photos as seen in the book.

This is my version. I used sugar glitter instead of trying to do the fancy frosting texture with the Zip-lock. I also used M&Ms instead of the chocolate Newman's Own cookies.
I was limited on my construction paper so I used a lot of brown. I wanted to buy the material from JoAnn's fabrics that looks like grass but never made it over there. So, I just make it look like some place an alligator might be.
My sister had this blow up slide from her former boss and so she let us use it for the festivities! What a blessing it was and the Easy-up tent!

Cousin Jordan and Molly
COusin Travis, Joe, Zachary (our neighbor), and Cole from BB camp were the kids we invited. They loved it.

My sister being the cool Mama that she is showed up with her vintage ice cream truck piping out funky versions of the ice cream song and "Happy Birthday" along with others. It was perfect!

She busted out the bubble makers and the kids and Grandpa enjoyed it.

The cake part was red velvet to make it look like blood! I got the idea from Steel Magnolias! Remember the armadillo cake?

Yummmmmmmmmmmm

David couldn't eat his fast enough.
Does anyone have a napkin?
How 'bout a sweet smooch?

Legos were the common gifts and Levi could not have been happier.
Trinity slept the whole time and finally woke up towards the end.
She sported her suit and got in on the action.
We were sad to see Grandpa and Nana leave at the end of the party. What a fun time we had overall this weekend! I know I could not have made the cupcakes and done the decorations without having their help with the kids! Thank you for keeping them an extra night with you in Galveston!
The sistas

Pop and Grandma Gail called and we opened their gift over the phone. Later Levi and Papa worked on it until it was finished. Trinity tried to help but all she wanted to do was eat it not assemble it!
Trinity getting her piece of cupcake after dinner! She loved it. Her birthday is next!

Levi, so many people love you. We love you because your our son. You are a good listener, you are fun to be around, you are smart, undertsanding, helpful, kind, giving, thoughtful, playful, loving, caring, hardworking, teachable, gentle spirited, and unique. God doesn't make mistakes and we love how he made you. We wouldn't change anything about you. We are thankful we get to be your parents and spend so much time with you. You have blessed our lives and we celebrate your life! Happy 6th Birthday!

Galveston 5K Weekend

Woohoo! We all went to Galveston - We stayed with Nana and Grandpa in a hotel, Trinity stayed with Grandmama, and Mom and Dad had time alone together! We loved it. We went to Moody Gardens, played putt-putt, had quality Italian food, went on bike rides, jumped on the beds, swam in the pool and just enjoyed our family.
Mom and Dad rented a 2 seater bike that weighed about 1 ton and they talked about how great it was to actually do some vigerous excercise together and instead of excercising at "kid" speed.
They also ran in a 5K race at night and talked about how cool it was seeing the cresent moon and the stars in the sky while seeing 1000 people with headlamps swarming the beach. It was such a challenge running in the sand but Papa was such a good running buddy. They are so thankful for the time of refreshing as a couple and as parents. Thank you, Grandparents, for making it possible!! Our gratitude will never end!

David had such a good time, too. The first time he saw Mom and Dad at the hotel after being away for 24 hours he grabbed them by the hand and escorted them to the door and said, "go away." That made them feel good that he didn't want them there. Grandparnets are such special people sent by God to help kids feel loved in a unique way. He truly wanted his fill!

2 hours before the race. They had a mango smoothie and walked around enjoying the sunset.
Dressed and ready to do some serious sweating and gasping for breathe!
There was not one dry spot on their clothing. They went back to the car to change shirts and put their flashlights away.
Mom and Dad in all of their glory! Victorious, hungry, and exhausted!
They hung out with us Sunday morning while Nana and Grandpa went for a bike ride on the tandem. It was sooooooooooo HOT! Thankfully the pool was cool and refreshing.

We shared lunch together that day at Mario's and had blue Bell at the end. The pizza was the BEST!
