Time to decorate our tree

We have become huge fans of putting up the Christmas decorations right after Thanksgiving. We love enjoying the lights at night, sipping hot chocolate, listening to Christmas music and eating popcorn. Today was the first day of our "Jesse Tree ".

David piling on the ornaments to see how many could fit.

I love having a picture each year of the kids putting the ornaments on. Last year David would not pose for a picture but this year I got all three!

Wanda made it for a visa run from down south and so it has been a joy connecting with her and sharing our traditions.
Trinity before bed still marveling at the tree and the fun ornaments from Mamaw.

A new activity for fine motor skill enhancement- Connect 4.
Playing UNO for the first time in almost a year! We each won a game and then it was time for bed. Of course, somebody didn't want to stop playing.

Thanksgiving Merienda

This year mom did something less formal for Thanksgiving for her Spanish friends. Life is just so busy and crazy with 3 kids that she could nto put on the big sit down meal. In the end I think we liked it better. We played the spanish version of Taboo with the flexicoco. The girls came up from behind and beat the boys! It was a close game. The kids watched Tom and Jerry and stayed busy with cars and trucks.
We had turkey sandwiches, sweet potato casserole, spinach dip, wedding cookies, and banana bread, coffee, coffee, and more coffee!
Trinity was already in bed by the time we took our group picture.

Los 3 amigos!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had Thanksgiving with our American friends and I have to say the food was the best it has ever been abroad for this holiday. Kathy and Ron have a great new place and our kids had fun playing chase in their yard. I am sad to say that I did not take enough pictures.

Friends

Elias came over to play at our house since it was too wet and cold outside to go to the park. We played with cars, trains and ran like crazy up and down our long hallway.

When Dad came home that night he and Levi played "War" and had 4 wars in a row. Levi won 36 cards in that one play! It was phenomenal and very, very picture worthy.

Los tres

Our friends gave the boys these little lego toys for taking care of their rabbit Carmen. As you can see David really enjoyed playing with his!
I was so impressed with how he could put it all together with little assistance.
Caty came over to watch the kids so we could go to the open market and meet with our friends Lucas and Betzabe. Caty made this cute little scene with the play-doh.
Levi's first experiement with making a card house. He is really into playing cards. His new favorites are "War" and " Speed".

Mommy was going through clothes to give away and Trinity decided she wanted to put some of the clothes on. It was so cute watching her try to put them on and then walk around in them.

Park

We arrived a little early picking up Levi from school so we parked the stroller in the sun and enjoyed a little bit of sunshine on our faces. David enjoyed chasing the pigeons and making them fly away.

I liked this sweet look on her face.
I have found out that going to the park almost everyday after school is necessary or the kids just get a little stir crazy in the house and end up fighting. So I pack a snack and we head to the parks around our house. It has been so cold lately!

Eating Solo

This is just a glimpse of what it looks like when Trinity decides to eat by herself.

New Things

Always up for a new challenge Trinity practiced standing on the big pillow and stepping off. She thought she was such big stuff. It gave us joy to see her so happy that she could do it.

success!
A couple of times she lost her balance but it didn't stop her from trying again.
Unsteady on her feet after stepping off.
What a shot! It looks like is going to hit her head but she doesn't....thankfully!
