David is 3

What a day we had, sweet David! We invited your best friends and celebrated your wonderful life! I got everything ready over the course of one week doing a little each day and it all worked out.

We had a cheese log, pistacios, gusanitos, carrot sticks celery and Ranch, olives, queso Manchego, and jamon serrano.

for your cake I used Maw-Maw's famous recipe with the white cake mix, Coco Lopez with cool whip topping just like for Trinity's 1st birthday. The bugs were made with baking chocolate and M&Ms.
You LOVED it!

Here we are singing "Happy Birthday" to YOU.
Your Papa helping you eat your cake. He is such a servant and the best Dad any of you could ask for. He loves you very much!

Trinity got her share, too!

Your proud and thankful Mama.
To mejor amigo español!
You are so cute with your sucker hanging out of your mouth. You were so sweet to all of your guests - giving hugs and saying "thank you", you shared everything you received, and you were so easy going in the midst of all of the noise. I love how layed back and affectionate that you are. You have a gentle, kind, fun-loving spirit that is going to make you a great friend to many!

The dad of 6 with 2 of his- Charlotte and Alex

Brook (right) who was a major help before the party and Taryn who helped me with the dishes afterwards. What great gals!
Your gift from Aunt Kimberly and Uncle Tony
playing with your gifts from the Peters.
Coffee maker from Pop and Maw-maw.
Mamaw's gift with a Lego four wheeler!
You are a fast learner. I told you what the ax was for and you suited up and started chopping away at the door to rescue "the people". You love getting dressed up and being silly! What a joy and delight you are, Mr. David! We love you! It has been 3 wonderful years with you! Love, Mom and Dad

Brothers

O, the super brothers! The competition, agitations, and testing of limits never ends. We have gotten to where when the boys are not sharing or getting along I just stop and pray outloud and ask God to help each of the boys. Most of the time David prays , too. It has had some positive results. It is something special to witness as their mother and i thank God for what He is teaching me through this role.
King David loves to pretend to be Superman. He said to me, "Give me a kiss and a hug, Mommy, because I have to go save the day. " Then he runs off saying, "Superman to the rescuuuuue!" He comes back and says, "Hi, Mommy (a little out of breath), I am done saving the day." He is so precious. I love how creative, silly, gentle and light-hearted he is.

Trinity's latest

I just have not had time to blog the most recent pics so I am sacrificing sleep to post these before I post David's birthday pictures.
Trinity has been so fun...all her life... and especially this 16th month. She repeats everything and learns so much from her brothers. Today she brought me some little erasers from Levi's backpack and was saying "pocket, pocket" and reaching for my jean pocket to put them in. She learned that from David- David had a stage wearing everything had to have a pocket so he could carry stuff. Now he has resorted to little bags, purses, or backpacks. She also runs up to you and says "back" and tags your thigh for "got you back" when we play chase and do tag-backs. We say, "Got you back!"

These she was ahving fun being naked after her bath so I just got the good parts!

Her dress from Nana and Grandpa.
She was giggling and smiling at herself. Quite a cutie!
Mommy trying to enjoy the littleness and cuddle time with her taking a bottle. She won't be taking it much longer and she is getting too big to hold like this. It is hard to think of her as my last one.
Another night after her bath and playing with Daddy's phone... saying "cheese".

The 3 King's parade

We saw the parade in Leganés this year. We hooked up with some workers that are new to the area and are working with the same p.g. as us! They needed some serious encouragement. It was a great first cultural experience for them. This was our 5 year experiencing the 3 king's parade!

This was the first parade we had seen we camels and donkeys. It was very well done for a suburb.

3 Kings

This is our version of the Spanish Roscón (a ring shaped cake) eat is eaten on January 6th after "The 3 King's" come. I made a cinnamon roll and instead of cutting it I just put the log in a ring and I have to say I will always make it like this. It was so gooey and so yummy!!
