Rebecca's First Week

We have really enjoyed our first week with Rebecca. She is amazing with the kids and brings so much life to our family. We laugh and play and learn so much from her. We love hearing stories about her family (10 kids in all) and all of their experiences together. She has been a huge help and a great friend. We are so thankful she is here with us.
Sunday coffee/tea time tradition for Rebecca's family so we did the same with chocolate cake and 2 games of Skip-Bo!

attending women's session on reaching out to our p.g. (all in Spanish)

We found a skateboard for David at a garage sale for 1 euro and had to buy it because he had been asking for 5 days straight. We know it is dangerous but he loves it. He only wanted it b/c it matches his shirt. He actually is pretty good on it.

doing girly things
One day we just got silly with the hose and had fun in our bathing suits.

The kids have been so sweet with Rebecca and she has been such a blessing. It makes me look forward to my kids being teenagers - I never thought I would say that!
One of our actvities was hiding little objects in a box of beans and guessing what you picked.

Mother's Day USA

We finally have an updated family picture! Mother's Day is a perfect day to do it and the kids were so cooperative-it was amazing. I can't believe how much they are changing - maturing and growing!
I love my babies!!
What a happy mother you guys make me! I wouldn't change a thing about you and I certainly thank God for letting me be your mommy. Dad and I love the life you bring to our lives. Thank you for being YOU!
Their treat for being so good was a sucker. Trinity finally keeps her hair ties in and we are enjoying seeing her pig-tails bop up and down when she runs!

This one is my new favorite. Sometimes these boys fight and sometimes they are best buds. It is interesting. The story of Joseph, David and Jonathan, and Cain and Abel are good stories we discuss when we are trying to learn about dealing with relationships. Joseph is one of my favorite characters because he really displays trust in God, forgiveness, integrity, and character. Our prayer is always for our kids to love one another deeply, appreciate their differences, treat each other with respect, and value who God made them to be. God teaches me so much through their struggles and their good choices of choosing to love one another. I love being a mommy because I learn so much about God, myself, and what it really means to die to yourself and live for another. Marriage does this, too! It is all very HUMBLING!
John 15:9 As the Father has loved me so I have loved you. Now remain in my love. I have been chewing on this this week and talking with you guys about it. We have been memorizing this together. It really hit me to think about Christ loving us the way that the Father loves HIM. I love it. It is beautiful to be loved that way and we don't even deserve it but that is grace - unmerited favor! How deep the father's love for us, how vast beyond all measure!
Levi's photography skills! Not bad, aye? We don't get very many pictures of us together. We will have the joy of celebrating 10 years on the 26th of this month! Every year gets better! I can't imagine myself with anyone else and I sure can't imagine being without him. We are meant to be!

Spain's Mother's Day

This year since we have an area to do so I asked for flowers for my Mother's Day gift. We headed to a nursery and enjoyed picking out some of my favorite flowers. The kids enjoyed the bag of dirt the best. They each helped scoop and dump. Dad was so great teaching them how to do it and it blessed me just seeing him with them and reflecting on the goodness of the Lord. We are so thankful for the 3 precious children we have and we owe all our thanks to Him.

These boots continue to be David's favorite shoes.

She just watched and mimicked what the boys did. She had to have her chance at it all.
