Parque Europa

This is the beautiful Parque Europa (Europe Park) that we live across from. The have about 10-13 different famous landmarks from different countries in Europe. They even have a piece from the Berlin Wall.
They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary and opened a kid's section with trains, cars, and mini golf. They already have archery, paddle boats, an adventure ropes course, a zip-line, a bird sactuary, and amazing play areas for kid's to climb on. People from all over the city come here. It has been therapeutic living so close to this area.
peacocks, parakeets, doves, and cacatuas live here.
This one is a replica from Portugal.

This one is a replica form the Netherlands.
Anyone know where this one is from? You get points! This one is my favorite.

Behind him are old timer cars like what used to be at Astroworld.
Golf course
Their first train ride that goes around a section of the park where they have the mini Eiffel Tower (see below).
Paris and Italy

We went to the park one morning during the first week of school when David had to be there from 11:15-12:45. We were killing time enjoying the breeze and the sunshine. He wanted to wear this outfit because he saw that there were tools in his class. Workerman man and Diva
One of the benches at the entrance to the park. The boys' school is right behind the black fence across the street.
Blowing bubbles close to the park where we met Fatima.
With the boys both in school, mornings at the park are pretty quiet. I find myself doing the chasing and the running instead of David!
Making sure her baby gets a turn.

September love

Getting a little crazy with the hair-dos.
When she gets her picture taken she tilts and says, "Cheeeeeeeeese."

Tea party with Levi
Father-daughter picture both wearing their boots.
One morning before David headed off to school. He is still going strong and his teacher says his Spanish is improving.
Trinity with her new kitty and looking pretty in pink!
Levi is so thankful for his teachers because "they are so nice and praise me so much," he says. He wanted to do something nice for them so he wrote a "thank you" note and made cookies for them. He is such a giver.
Elisa and César came over yesterday and and Levi gave César one of his Hot Wheel cars and let him borrow 2 toys until the next visit. That was his way of saying "thank you" for coming over.
We had one of our personnel guys in town and Levi found out he was going to America so he gave the guy some money to spend while he was there. Then we saw the guy in Jordan and the guy gave him some Jordanian money to spend. It was a neat lesson that "what measure you use when you give it will be given to you."
It is so fun learning about how our kids demonstrate and receive love.

Trinity is 2!

One year ago today our sweet girl was born and she was so tiny and such a precious gift. We never thought we would get a girl let alone a sweet, fun-loving, bundle of joy! We praise our Heavenly Father for giving her to us and letting us be her parents. She adds so much to our family.

We had some "lap time" and practiced saying, "dos". I would say, "Cuantos años tienes?" and she would say, "Uno!" Even this morning she said, "Uno". It was cute.

Trinity's friend Rachel has introduced her to being a princess. I never thought I would call her a princess but after reading Dobson's book Bringing Up Girls my opinion has changed.
David is sad he didn't get the Ring Pop that came in Trinity's purse.
She went straight to the lip gloss and practiced putting it on.

All decked out in her new sunglasses, purse, pearl bracelet, and holding her princess brush from Mamaw and the Walkers.
mom and dad gave her a tea set.
Her cake was vanilla. I made the skirt from a small mixing bowl and stuck her strawberry shortcake doll down into it to look like a dress. The cupcakes were for the rest of us.

singing Happy Birthday to Trinity!
We had milk in our tea cups while we enjoyed our cupcakes. Then they had a scoop of ice cream in the tea cups.

Yummy chocolate ice cream to go with the vanilla cake!

Levi was quite the server to the little ones.
Rachel gave her a fairy dress.

She got a dress with a horse on the front, this cool placemat, and a kitty in purse from Pop and Mawmaw. Gracias abuelos!

It was hard not having family here with us. We feel like Trinity has changed so much and is at such a fun stage. All the kids miss their family and so do we!

During the party Dvaid ended up dressing up as a police officer, the kids poured out all of the foam peanuts onto the floor and we ate spaghetti and meatballs with salad and garlic bread.
Our teammates were a real blessing and we are so thankful for Rachel's friendship.
